The Assembly Alert title is The circus is in town. That is 18+ comedy: big-top chaos, a SOLD stamp, and a clown who would have been better off checking the VIN first.
The humiliation gag is the Made in Korea reveal after the lot sold a USA story. The site slogan is the same as the other bits: Don’t get caught with your pants down.

The pivot
A circus tent is a loud close. So is a dealership. Flags, “assembled here” cards, a payment that looks cheap because it is a lease. The punchline in the spot is plant country that is not the United States.
AssemblyAlert reads NHTSA vPIC `PlantCountry`. Pass only if that field is exactly `UNITED STATES (USA)`. Korea fails. Mexico fails. Canada fails. Puerto Rico fails. A window-sticker flag is not the verdict. VIN position 1 is a WMI screen only.
The IRS Working Families Tax Cuts pages describe a temporary deduction for tax years 2025 through 2028 for interest paid on a loan used to purchase a qualified vehicle. Plant-country Pass is not the deduction.
Same checklist, less sawdust: Buying a new car at the dealership. Same slogan, different bait: Don’t get caught with your pants down.
Gates the joke does not cancel
Before anyone “claims US assembly” or sketches an interest number:
- US final assembly — fact card and PlantCountry guide
- Original use starts with the taxpayer — used vehicles do not qualify (used vehicles)
- Lease payments do not qualify (leases, lease article)
- GVWR less than 14,000 pounds (GVWR)
- Loan originated after December 31, 2024, personal use, lien
- Up to $10,000 of qualified interest per year; MAGI phaseout starts at $100,000 / $200,000 joint
- VIN on the return (VIN on return)
- No IRS purchase-price / MSRP cap on those Working Families Tax Cuts pages
